At 8am this morning a brief text came in from the team stating,
Texting you from the summit of mount meru! Yeehaa! All tired and elated.
Minutes later a text came in from Ema the head guide,
On top. Going back now.
Sounding exhausted I felt bad texting, but wanted to know if all meant 11….and got this response:

WOOHOO! Another one down! The summit day was very tiring for the whole team and after several updates we received confirmation that they all made it back down to the lowest camp. They are all likely in need of a massage and a shower – but first will be warmly greeted by the students of St Jude’s who will be holding a special assembly at 12pm for the team tomorrow.
They will line up donned in their school uniforms and hats and eagerly await the arrival of the ladies…who they know, have just climbed Mount Meru in support of their school!
